What is cat Hyperthyroidism
Hyperthyroidism is very common with middle-aged and older cats. It results when the thyroid glands (located near the cat’s windpipe) produce too much thyroid hormone.
Hyperthyroid pets often lose weight despite a normal appetite and become nervous, irritable and vocal. For several days, they may be hyperactive and have a rapid heart beat, then lethargic, apathetic and uninterested in food, play or grooming. Unfortunately thyroid balances are extremely common in cats, the biggest one being hyperthyroidism.
Symptoms of feline hyperthyroidism
If you suspect your cat has an overactive thyroid, you should consult your vet. Traditional treatments include radioactive iodine therapy, surgical removal of the thyroid gland, and ongoing treatment with anti-thyroid medications.

“I have always had cats and, thankfully, over the years they have all been fairly healthy and lived to a great old age. Recently though, my calico, Jezebel started getting a bit hyperactive and losing a bit of weight even though she was eating more than usual. As this had never happened before, I got her looked at by our vet. A few tests later, I was told that she had hyperthyroidism which, in cats, can be quite common.
The next thing I did was search the web for natural products to help the condition and this is when I came across your site and Resthyro. I may not have used it before, but this is one great product for helping with Hyperthyroidism in Cats. Jezebel is more stable now, her weight loss has stopped, her energy levels are back to normal and all is well. Thanks you, I will recommend you to others”

I have to admit that I was skeptical at first but this product has really helped our Hyperthyroid cat. She is 14 years old and has been on it for 3 months and has actually gained a pound, where as before she was losing weight like crazy. She is back to her old self and I believe this product helped for her.... thanks!

"Since we started the resthyro our cat has not lost any additional weight. He may have even gained a half pound. Due to the high costs involved and two children in college I could not afford a $1,000/ month vet fee. Our cat is still highly active every day. He goes on his morning and evening prowls as if he was a young cat again. It has also improved his activity level."

"Blessings to your company for providing products that really help.
We received Resthyro on Friday and gave Chan his first dose. Saturday morning he was given his second. The improvement was immediate. The poor guy had been having watery loose bowel movements 6-8 times a day over the past 6 months. In the first 24 hours on Resthyro he dropped to 2 semi-formed stools.
We're now into the third day and he hasn't had a bowel movement since late yesterday afternoon. His water consumption is way down and he's resting quietly. We know he has a long way to go before he's healthily again. Now we have hope."

Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
My friend had blood tests performed on her elderly cat which confirmed hyperthyroidism. I am a long time multiple dog owner and have had good experience with conventional thyroid medications but she really wanted to try a natural product first. I advised her that if it didn't work (and I was skeptical) that she could always turn to regular medicines. Several weeks have passed and her cat is doing much better! Her cat is putting on weight after having lost quite a bit, is less lethargic and sleeping less, and is more animated and personable, and doesn't have the general air of feeling miserable. I am surprised but have seen the cat myself and things are definitely better. I am passing along her strong endorsement for the product.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
Had to add the drops to tuna or tinned cat meat. Seems to be treating some symptoms and slowing down the weight loss. Results after five months have me convinced worth keeping my twleve year old cat on the Resthyro.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
I use 4 drops in my cat's food to slow down her Hypothyroid problem.
It has no side effects as promised. She used to vomit and since taking this product she doesn't.
She doesn't seem to be spaced out on it like the tapazole she was taking.
Happy with the product and don't have anything bad to say about it

I add Resthyro twice a day to canned food for an elderly cat. She has stopped yowling, is eating very well, is more affectionate and more her old self.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
My 10 year old Blue Lynx point Siamese was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and the only options were pills or surgery. Thank God I found this product, it not only brought back my sweet girl from the effects of hyperthyroidism but made her very active and kittenish. The drug the vet prescribed made her terribly ill and pilling her didn't work and I didn't want to subject her to costly surgery which would cause other problems. I find giving fluids much easier for both me and my kitty. I have been giving her this medication for 9 months now and she is so used to taking it, she just expects it. Thank you for giving me back my sweetie!

After three weeks, my senior cat's vomiting seems to be less frequent. I'm hoping to see continued improvement and weight gain soon. The medicine is easy to administer, and my cat has had no adverse effects.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
My 12 year old cat, Butch, had become very grumpy and thin. You could feel every bone in his back and hips when you petted him. He was diagnosed as hyperthyoid and perscribed medication. Try as I might, I cannot get a pill into him - but he happily eats a bit of canned food with 5 or 6 drops of Resthyro on top. Since beginning treatment he has gained a bit of weight, has resummed grooming himself and is actually playful. I plan on using this product for as long as I am fortunate enough to have this cat as part of my family.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
My cat was not able to take the prescribed Rx. He would throw up the tablet with his food, but Resthyro has been gentle on his stomach.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
I used Resthyro for my 14-year-old female cat when she developed a hyperthroid condition. The symptoms Resthyro helped or eliminated were her howling very early in the morning (3-4 am)and her hyperactivity, also in the morning. After I had her treated with radioactivity to eliminate the tumor on her thyroid that was causing the hyperactivity, I found she eventually went back to howling in the early morning. So I ordered Resthyroid again and am still using it. My cat is still more vocal than she was as a young and middle-aged cat, but she no longer howls very early in the morning and wakes me up. My vet knows about my use of Resthroid.
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
My senior 19 year old Frankie kitty was diagnosed a few months ago with a hyperthyroid which was making him throw up a lot and he howled during the night. Vet prescribed methimizole which I first used in cream applied to inner ear. Frankie's ears itched badly after a couple of weeks so tried it in liquid oral form. Bad side effects of worse throwing up and kitty was just miserable. I saw Resthyro write ups on internet and ordered a bottle. I called my vet to let him know I had ordered it and he told me to give it a try. After one day of one dose twice that day, a remarkable difference. It now has been three weeks since I started Frankie on Resthyro and he rarely has a throwup now and no more night howling. He is a much comfier and happier cat. At his age I can't expect miracles and just want the wee old boy to be comfortable. Resthyro is giving him so much more comfort now. It really is making a huge difference. Highly recommend it!
Comments about NHV Resthyro for Cat Hyperthyroidism:
I put off writing this because I wasn't sure if it was helping. My cat did seem to keep her food down after receiving, but we had also changed her food. However, this week I took her to the vet. She was suffering from a UTI and the vet commented that she did NOT look like a cat that had hyperthyroidism, did NOT look her age, and whatever I was doing seems to work.
This is a year after another vet wanted to give her throid pills, or radiate her thyroid. She is almost 14 and I opted out of all those options and changed vets. This vet took the name of this medicine and the web site and commented that it was a much less expensive option and she doesn't like the radiation recommendation at all. She even asked if it works for people!
My overall feeling is it is worth a try if you are struggling with the option that the 'big-box' vets are offering.
Just another note, we find that feeding the cat small amounts of canned (has more water) many times a day (5-6) works well. She keeps it down and it seems to keep her soothed.

I really like this product, but our old cat can taste or smell and if she finds it will not eat, I can fool her when she is really hungry, in morning if I feed her raw chicken, not sure if this is a good thing, so she dosen't get it regularly[...]She has been checked by a Vet and is confirmed Hypothyroid[...]
